Vehicle Upgrades and Add-Ons - Vehicles will have new upgrades and attachments. Unique Cockpit Views - Vehicles will have unique and detailed interior cockpits, letting you truly immerse yourself in the experience. Improved Visuals - Environments are going to see big improvements in SnowRunner, with more detailed foliage, mud, water, lighting, and more. More Licensed Manufacturers - Vehicles are MudRunner's bread and butter, so of course, the roster is growing! You will get to tear through the mud in new vehicles from manufacturers such as Caterpillar and Pacific. For the first time, you will be able to experience snow under your wheels, in the new Alaska region. New Environments - On top of the Russian and American regions you've seen in MudRunner, the development team are looking to push SnowRunner to new horizons. Larger Environments - The maps will be up to four times larger than MudRunner maps, with vast expanses just waiting for you to explore. Players will definitely get stuck in the swamp no matter which vehicle is being used. When you reach it, go back the way you came to the main road. Getting to the second watchtower is going to be difficult. Select them on the map or, if two trucks are close enough together, open the Functions menu, and select "Switch Vehicles".Īlong the way to the Garage, players may decide to go after the second watchtower. This will save a lot of time driving all the way around. Don't be afraid! Ram through the caution gates and through the water. However, delivering the wood first will not accomplish the mission objective.Īfter the first gas station, there is a large pit of water surrounded by roadblocks. This pit can be driven through even with the Highway Truck given enough speed. The wood is closer to the starting position, so it would otherwise make sense to retrieve it first. When repairing the bridge, you must deliver the metal first. This will be the difference between completing missions and running out of gas later on. It will be tempting to stay in AWD to drive faster on flat roads. Don’t leave it on because it consumes a lot of gas. This should allow you to dig yourself out. If you get stuck and the back wheels are the only ones spinning, digging you deeper into the mud, switch to AWD. Switch between All Wheel Drive (AWD) and Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) strategically. Low Gear will keep the car pushing through the thick mud in this early stage. 
In SnowRunner, slow progress is better than no progress, so don't worry when the car slows down in the mud. Low Gear allows the engine to take in less fuel, slowing the tires while increasing torque. When driving through heavy mud, it is a good idea to shift to Low Gear. This will allow the car to automatically shift up and down gears while driving on moderate terrain as well as allow players to shift into reverse by using the brake. The Scout Truck is equipped with a useful Gearbox. Use this time to study what is up ahead and prepare accordingly.
This whole game is about learning the road and mastering the elements. Select major points on the map that need to be reached on the way to the objective. Keep in mind that paths on the map are not set automatically like in other driving games. The same goes for finding the first Highway Truck. Simply navigate to the waypoint on the map. Getting to the first Watchtower isn't very difficult. The starting Scout Truck isn't very well outfitted but will get the job done for the first few missions. They are small and build to be taken to all corners of the map.
Scout Trucks are the best vehicles for exploration. The first truck available to players is the Chevy CK 1500 Scout Truck. When the game begins, players are informed of a terrible flood that has recently wrecked the town.
